_Within the framework of the Water Unites us initiative of the Global Water Cooperation Program, the second version of the virtual course for Latin America on Methodologies for the evaluation, verification and communication of the water footprint was successfully developed . It was carried out on the virtual platform of the Cap-Net campus of the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) and collects the experiences and learning from the work carried out in Colombia, Peru and Chile, Mexico.
251 people from all over Latin America applied to this course, and 80 participants were selected based on gender equality and diversity of nationality. Talks, exercises and virtual exchanges allowed an interactive course. Of those selected, the representatives of 11 countries, 85% women, passed the course.
The attendees who evaluated the course described it as enriching, and that it allowed them to deepen their knowledge on the analysis and implementation of water footprint impact indicators, based on the ISO 14046 standard.
