Objective

Promote the conjugation of the government and industrial sectors in Mexico to define the roadmap for the standardized application of the ISO14046 water footprint with regional coherence in Latin America

External evaluation: Water unites us Mexico

With great pleasure and satisfaction, the Water Unites Us Initiative shares the result of the external evaluation of the initiative that is being developed in Mexico. The objective of this evaluation carried out by Lidappy International Consulting SAS-LPIC was to determine the relevance of the El Agua nos Une initiative, its impact, the efficiency in the use of resources, the effectiveness in achieving results, as well as the delivery of products to partners and the sustainability of the action, allowing learning of lessons learned and recommendations.

Expected results

Train and advise at least five companies in Mexico for the quantification of the ISO14046 water footprint. In this way, generate actions to reduce environmental impacts to water in its processes, in the value chain, and facilitate actions in the basin

Share lessons learned and key findings through exchange sessions or committees with the companies receiving advice

Facilitate at least two forums to enhance the relationship between the government and industrial sectors, in order to agree on the application of the methodology

Virtual water footprint forum in Mexico

With 325 participants, the Virtual Water Footprint Forum was held in Mexico on April 29. Meeting organized by the National Water Commission (CONAGUA), the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (COSUDE) and the Cycle Analysis Center Life and Sustainable Design (CADIS).
